Mermaid Skeleton

This picture is a representation of a mermaid origin story. In this tale a goddess falls in love with a human shepherd, and becomes a human in order to marry him. She accidentally kills him; is heartbroken and throws herself into the sea. However she was too beautiful for the sea to to hide her attractiveness, so she became part fish instead to hide. This sketch symbolizes the moment her human form died and she became part fish.
